PHILIPPINE SOLDIERS
PAY TO BE RAISED . (Recd. 9.5 p.m? Washington March 19 Mr. Henry Stimson, on General i MacArthur’s recommendation, sent a ' letter to the Speaker. Mr. Rayburn, i suggesting legislation to raise the pay |of Philippine soldiers and scouts to the level of the United States Army. It is estimated that the cost will be 60.000,000 dollars yearly.
