Hinton after send- : ing him congratulations from the l New Zealand Governor-General, Sir ' Cyril Newall. Sergeant Hinton has replied: "You have no idea how thrilled I was when your letter arrived. 1 have been i.i hospital in Germany for several weeks after a long stay in Greece. 1 was wounded in the stomach, but my i wounds have healed.”
