Admiral Harold Stark has been relieved of Naval Operations and his duties absorbed by Admiral Ernest King. Commander-in-Chief of United States Fleets. He will proceed to London to relieve Vice-Admiral Ghormley. at present senior United States officer in Britain, ed authoritatively as “sreamlining” Navy control. with Admiral King having absolute dire tion under President Roosevelt and Colonel Knox.
