j (0.C.) Raetihi, March 10. ! The monthly meeting of the Raetihi School Committee was held at the (residence of Mr. W. P. Mead recently. I Mr. Mead presided, and also in attendance were Mesdam- s Russell and I Dobson. Messrs. Ward and Scarrow, I Mr. James (headmaster) and Miss i Flood (secretary). Apologies were received from Messrs. Wright. Goodman jand Rippingale, and Mrs. Russell and I Mrs. Scarrow. j Miss Ngaire Bennett tendered her 'resignation from the staff of the Raetihi School in order to take up a position in the Shirlev School, Christ1 church. She expressed deep regret 1 at leaving the school where, she stated, she had very much enjoyed her work, and thanked the committee for the opportunities given her. Her resignation was accepted by the committee, i with regret. Accounts totalling £9 6s lOd were passed for payment. The balancesheet for the past year was approved [and sent to Wanganui for audit. I The chairman reported that Mr. [Geraghty was unable to supply firewood and the order for eight cords of maire was given to Mr. Conrad at I£3 15s a cord delivered. The headmaster's report was received and also Mrs. Russell’s visitor’s report. Mr. Scarrow was appointed visitor for the ensuing month. Mr. James was authorised to purchase timber for woodwork class. It was also decided to overhaul lbw school radio.
