MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNS
BRIGADIER V.C. KILLED IN ACCIDENT Rugby. March 8. It is disclosed that Brigadier J. C. ■ Campbell who won the Victoria Cross > in November at Sidi Rezegh and the | D.S.O. in Libya in 1940. was killed in ‘ a motor accident in the Western i Desert last month, when a car over- i turned. He commanded the troops. 1 including one regiment of tanks, j which held Sidi Rezegh ridge and aerodrome. —8.0.W. Brigadier Campbell was killed or. the day General Auchinleck pinned the ribbon on his tunic at Cairo. The car in which he was driving back to the deserf overturned in a treacherous pass.
