SAFE IN AUSTRALIA

MR AND MRS. I. L. BURR. Cabled advice has been received by Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Burr, Weka Street. Aramoho, that their son, Mr. I. L. Burr, M.Sc., F.G.S., accompanied by his wife, reached Perth, Western Australia, from Java. An old boy of the Wanganui Technical College. Mr. Burr was petrologist for the Shell Oil Company at Balik Papan, Borneo, for about 12 months. When the Japanese gave indications of trouble in the Pacific Mrs. Burr went to Java, where she was later joined by her husband. ?vlrs. Burr was formerly Miss June Withers, Wanganui.
