MORE ABOUT FURS CHINCHILLA Undoubtedly the most greatly prized of ail the rarer furs, the Chinchilla is a land rodent living in the high altitudes of Peru, Chile and Bolivia. Attempts to breed these animals in captivity in lower altitudes are proving difficult because they do not take kindly to lower altitudes. The fur is very soft and silky, of a blue-grey colour, furriers paying up to between £4O and £5O for a single, good quality skin. When it is borne in mind that upwards of 100 skins would be required to make one coat, it is at once apparent that Chinchillla coals are within the means only of royalty and millionaires. However, one does not have to be the possessor of a several thousand pound fur to be smartly furred. In our showroom you will find an extensive range of furs that are tine in fashion and yet so reasonably priced that you will be surprised to learn just how cheap they are. If you already have a fur coat that has given you several seasons' good wear, you are probably considering having it refashioned or dyed. In that event, you should lose no time in getting into touch with us. We have had 25 years of practical experience as manufacturing furriers, and for all classes of repair work our reputation is second to none. Post your furs to us for attention. We will advise and quote by return mail. All our work is fully guaranteed, and we pay return postage on all repairs. More interesting facts about furs will be presented in this space today week. H.
