THEFT OF SUGAR
Wellington, March 5. The theft of two bags of sugar from a lorry which lie was driving was admitted by Lewis Edward Williams. lorry driver, aged 33, in the Magistrate's Court to-day before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M. Detective-Sergeant W. McLennan said that. Williams was taking them to a store, and on the way .sold them. After hearing counsel (Mr. A. B. Sievwright), who referred to Williams’ family circumstances, the magistrate ordered the accused to come up for sentence if called upon within 12 months.
