KITCHEN AFTERNOON. Miss Betsy Wilson was presented with a varied assortment of kitchen] gifts on Thursday afternoon, when Mrs. Jo<k Newland and Mrs. R. D. Wybourne entertained several friends in St. Stephen’s Hall, in her honour. The room was decorated with red geraniums and roses. Miss Nesta Mathieson won a competition. Mrs. Newland asked Miss Wilson to accept the gifts with best wishes from ail present. The guest of honour was attired in a pale blue frock, with a shoulderspray of pink rose-buds. Mrs. Newland wore a floral silk and Mrs. Wybourne a navy ensemble.
