QUOTA FLAGS FLYING WANGANUI DISTRICT AREA National Savings flags are flying over nine post offices in the Wanganui postal district for the second successive week in December, and they will continue to be flown throughout the holidays until Januaty 10. The successful centres are Wanganui I (city area), Aramoho, Castlecliff. Hunterville, Marton, Ohingaiti, Patea, Taihape, and Waitotara. "There would have been ten flags hut for Waverley’s bad luck,” said Mr. J. Gillick, district organiser, yesterday. He explained that a slight miscalculation as to the amount required resulted in Waverley missing the quota by a few pounds, but a special effort is being made at Waverley during the current week in an endeavour to raise the flag and keep it fixing during the holidays. As a result nf the recent publicity drive in Wanganui, the quota of £l7OO in the Wanganui metropolitan area (including Aramoho and Castlecliff> was exceeded hy £llOO. the total being more than £2BOO
