Changeable Weather.
Reporting on the weather for November. Mr M. A F. Barnett, Director of Meteorological Services, slates that Now Zealand experienced changeable, winds weather which, though typical of late spring, was not relieved by settled >|h'lls normally expected. Hence, there was little sign of the season overcoming its ba> Kwardness. Conditions had varied considerably with locality but in geneial terms it might be remarked that the weather had continued dry to the e.ud of the ranges and in the far north, while elsewhere it had been wet with inadequate sunshine. Drought conditions were effectively relieved in Central Otago. Stock in sheep farming districts had thriven through the persistence of showery weather had delayed shearing in some parts. Cattle were healthy, but daily production was somewhat below normal Hay and ensilage crops were expected to be light. Most crops appeared to be in a fairly satisfactory state.
