Dalgety and Company. Ltd. (Inc. in England*, report a most successful sale held at Bulls on Monday last, before a good attendance of the public. Three pens of good quality wool it ewes with lambs at fool sold under| excellent competition at prices rang- t ing from Ils 9d to 16s Id. all counted. I Several pens of fat sheep were also on offer, and these were keenly competed for by local butchers at prices ! fully firm on recent sales, the best oi . the fat wethers selling from 21s io* 22s 5d and fat ewes from 9s lOd to Ils 6d. Woolly hoggets sold from 27s I to 30s and fat shorn 2ths from 21s Id to 22s sd. A large yarding of fat cattle me? with a ready sale at prices in ad-1 vance of the previous sale. Some' excellent quality cattle came forward, and the best of the cows and heifer.', which were all ex-dairy sorts, mace | to £7 17s. Only a few head of dairy ; cattle were yarded, which met with] a fair enquiry only, the best of the' cows selling to £8 and a line of Jersey heifers and young cows, r.w.b., rea-1 lised £4 ISs 6d. A full yarding of pigs, comprising i principally weaners and medium stores, sold under active competition, and late rates were maintained. Quotations: Ewes and lambs.
