This was necessary on | account of the drop in attendance.— The letter was received, and the comI mittee to be informed that the board's | solicitor would look after the matter. , It was decided to accede to the I equest of the Wangaehu School Committee to make a ' Roll of Honour’’ for the school at the latter's expense. The architect recommended acceptance of the quotation of £147 for asphalting cork at the Ohakune District High School, work being charge- : hie to a special grant. This was I gdonted. The Commissioner of Crown Lands asked if the hoard had any objection to uplifting the Karioi School site vested in the hoard in 1909. -Request granted. An application from the Marton Junction School Committee for assistance towards cost of tar-sealing.—A sum of £5O was granted if work wes considered necessary. Architect recommended that portion of the Tawata Schoo! site he leased and that the hoard accept liability for hire of a bull-dozer arranged by School Committee—This was granted provided that costs are reasonable.
