Archbishop O'Shea has opened the Paul Hoskins Memorial Hostel for young men subscription list with an interim donation of £250. Other generous donations have also been received. The memorial executive is working on plans to raise £lO.OOO. Its estimate is that, with this sum in hand, it could finance the erection of a hostel to provide accommodation for 50 Roman Catholic youths of a type who come to Wellington each year to enter lhe Civil Service, industry and commerce. Prior to the formulation of the campaign to cover the archdiocese of Wellington and then all New Zealand, a personal canvass lor subscriptions will be carried out.
