BOMBS ON ENGLAND
SOME DAMAGE, SMALL NUMBER OF ( ASI ALTIES. (Reed. 6.30 pan.) Rugby. Nov. 19. An official communique reports that enemy aircraft dropped bombs at scattered points in west and south-west England and South Wales last night. Some damage was done at one point. The total number of casualties was slight, hut included some persons killed. One enemy aircraft was destroyed during the night.- 8.0.W. A north of Ireland communique state.- There was some slight enemy activity over North Ireland this morning. No reports of casualties or damage have been received. — 8.0.W.
RAID DAMAGE TO LIVERPOOL UNIVERSITY (Recd. 5.5 p.m.) London, Nov. 28. Bonin damage to the fabric of Liverjmxjl University amounts in value to nearly £I2U,CmK), stated Lord Derby. Chancellor of the University, at the annual meeting of the court. Although the monetary loss was considerable, he said, there was happily little loss of life. Raids had interfered little with thr < uxtomarv work of the university. BOW.
