She reported that the Paiea quota ol unaddressed paiceis had been packed and sent to Wellington and she thanked all who had in any way helped with the work. The quota was made up as follows: Patea W.1.. 61; Kakaramea. 12; Carlyle. 4: Opaku 1; Pat*-a Maori. 2; Whenuakura W.D.F.U., 10; Manutahi W.D.F.V.. 6—a total of 90. A letter was received from the South Taranak: Federation, congratulating the Pat*-a Institute on winning the ne.'t programme trophy for the Dominion. Mr. Hill?, postmaster, gave an instructive address on nat.onal savings, and urged all present to help with this worthy onjed. Several letters of appreciation from soldiers overseas, who had received parcel* from the Patea Womens Insti tute. were read. Mrs. G. Dyer, of Kakaramea. gave a very interesting demonstration on poker work. On display was a quantity of homespun woo! spun oy members, and a scarf knitted by >!'*•« Locke from home-spun wool.
