OBITUARY
MRS. JANE RANDAL Mrs. Jane Randal, who died last week at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Hector Christie, St. John's Hill, was 78 years of age. Siie married Mr. George R.andal in 1882. Mr. Randal came from England when a young man and was well known in musical circles there, being conductor of the Islington Choral So- 1 ciety. Mrs. Randal's family was well, known in musical circles in Wanganui and her home was often the centre of musical gatherings and glee parties. In her younger days Mrs. Randal was an enthusiastic worker in Trinity Church, where her husband was choirmaster and superintendent of Sunday s -’hool, but of recent years she had been a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Randal leaves two daughters. Mrs. Hector Christie and Mrs. Harold Springer, and three sons —Mi. Edgar Randal, who is in the musical profession and organist of St. Mary'. Cathedral (Auckland), Mr. Harry Randal, who is a wholesale importer and manufacturer, Auckland, and Mr. | Leonard Randal, who is manager of the merchandise department of his i brother's firm.
