BRITISH AMBASSADOR IN TOKIO
THREE MONTHS’ LEAVE DEPARTURE FOR U.S.A. Yokohama, Sept. 28 Sir Robert Craigte, British Ambassador, has arrived from Tokio with his family and is said to be taking three months' leave in the United States, after which he will return to Japan. The visit has no political significance.—U.P.A. (Reed. 10.50 p.m.) Shanghai, Sept. 29. The Domei agency’s Tokio correspondent quoted an Embassy spokesman, stating that Sir Robert Craigie has definitely postponed his departure for the United States. The Embassy cancelled Sir Robert Ciaigie's transpacific bookings from Shanghai. U.P.A. London, Sept. 23. An official statement was made in London regarding Sir Robert Craige’s cancelled departure from Japan for the United States. He was going on leave, which is long overdue, but, because of the illness of a high Embassy official in Tokio, he has had to postpone his departure.
