TOLL OF R.A.F.

GERMANS EV/CUATED FROM THE RHINELAND (Rec. 8.40 p.m.) London. Sept. 27. Forty thousand people who have been evacuated from the Rhineland to escape R.A.F. bombings, have arrived at Amsterdam. The Germans have made arrangements to house still more evacuees in Holland.

The Rhineland has been seriously damaged, according to Dutch sources, and Dusseldorf resembles Rotterdam after the German bombing.—U.P.A.
