WILL THERE BE AN ELECTION?
STILL NO OFFICIAL WORD STATEMENT EXPECTED TO-NIGHT (P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Sept. 25. Moving the adjournment ot the House to-night, thee Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, said the business to-morrow would be the consideration of the Public Works Statement and the Public Works Estimates, The Leader of the Opposition, Mr. S. G. Holland: Will there by any important statement made to-morrow? Mr. Fraser said that if the Leader of the Opposition had any important statement to make he would be pleased to give him facilities to do so. Mr. Holland said the public would be glad to have a statement regarding the election position. Mr. A. J. Richards (Govt., Roskill); We will finish you there. Mr. Fraser said he hoped that the progress made to-morrow would facilitate all sorts of positions. Mr. Holland: You will make a statement to-morrow night, then? Mr. J. O’Brien (Govt., Wellington): We will tell you first. (Laughter.) Tire House rose at 10 p.m. until 10.30 a.m. to-morrow.
