Cliff Hanham, of Waimate, professional m and light-heavy-weight boxing champion of the Dominion, had to sidesten nimbly at the Wellington Town Hal! to-night to gain a> points decision over Les Strickland, of Wellington, over 12 rounds. Hanham weighed 11.8 L Strickland was half a pound lighter, but had an advantage in height and reach. Boxing coolly. Strickland did most of the leading throughout and kept the champion back-moving almost throughout the contest.
