WANGANUI CLUB FIRST QUALIFYING ROUND OF CHAMPIONSHIPS On Saturday the first qualifying round of the 1941 championships will be played at Belmont. The match will be played in threes. A number of players have booked in lours, and as far as the time-sheet is concerned, only two players can be entered. MAKIRHURI CLUB The second round of a series ot medal rounds will be played on Saturday by the Makirikiri Golf Club. Members are requested to play their matches in the Wilmshurst and Leydon Cups. The draw for Mrs. Dalgety’s trophy is as follows: Mrs. Hammond and Miss James; Mrs. Carruthers and Mrs. Anderson; Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Dalgety; Mrs. Clemance and Mrs. Blair; Miss Sheila and scorer.

1 ORDELL CLUB The Fitzmaurice Foursome Cup, the final of which was played on Saturday by the Fordell Golf Club, was won by A. Webster and A. Sutherland with a net score of 149 (36 holes). The runners-up were D. Henderson and A. McLeod, 155 net. The first round of match play for the Mac Lean Cup will be played on Saturday, the draw being: C. Higgle v. S. Roskilly, J. C. Fowler v. A. Webster, A. McLeod v. K. Aiken, S. Palmer Jones v. D. Higgie, G. Bousfleld v. A. Sutherland, C. Burr v. S. Henderson, J. M. Allen v. R. Sommerville, R. A. Sutherland v. G. Leach.

CASTLECLIFF CLUB Members of the Castlecliff Golf Club will play lhe final round of the Lincoln Bennett Cup on Saturday.
