Pigeon Head Found
A Hunterville resident has written in to say that settlers in the Turakina Valley were very incensed recently when they discovered the head of a native pigeon. It was said that a motor-car had stopped and that the head was found nearby after the car had gone on. The head had been freshly cut off. Settlers take full care of these native birds, which now are very rare.
