CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTORS
R.S.A. PRAISE FOR NEW REGULATIONS (Press Assn.) Christchurch, Aug. 11. The executive of the Christchurch R.S.A. decided to congratulate Mr. A T. Donnelly on his appointment as the tribunal under the new regulations dealing with conscientious objectors. “A very wise choice.” said the president. Mr’. D. W. Russell. The executive received a letter from the general secretary of the New 7 Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, answering representations made by the Christchurch R.S.A. on the urgency for steps to be taken to deal with the objections. It was pointed out this evening by the secretary. Mr. E. F. Willcox, that the new regulations put a new light on the position, and Mr. H. W. Wilkinson said he w r as gratified that the Government had decided to take action.
