SUPPLIES RESUMED

MILK FOR SCHOOLCHILDREN POSITION IN WANGANUI Discontinued about two months ago because of a falling off in supplies, the daily ration of milk to children was resumed in several Wanganui schools last week. Each child receives a pint daily and the scheme was a popular innovation when introduced five or six years ago.

Wanganui schools where the ration has been resumed include Holy Infancy (Aramoho). Wanganui East, Keith Street Infants, Aramoho. St. Alban’s. Intermediate. Wanganui Girls’ College, Queen’s Perk. Wanganui Technical College, and Gonville The demand for milk created by military camps in the district was also partly responsible for a failing off in the quantity available for schools, but it is expected that remaining schools will be supplied in the near future.
