•BUCK PRIVATES” - Screening to-day at the Regent Theatre, "Buck Privates." one of the I funniest comedies seen in Wanganui ; for a long time, is the first picture to depict tile humorous side of the I American Army camp life. Foremost ■of the recruits are Lou Costello and | Budd Abbot. Also in the cast are Lee j Bowman as a handsome man with a I superiority complex, Alan Curtis as I his ex-chauifeur, and Nat Pendleton as a sergeant. Also prominent are the Andrew Si-vers, who appear as hostesses at the camp and present, several songs in their own inimitable manner. including, "1 11 be With You in Apple Blossom Time.” "You're a Lucky Fellow, Mr. Smith.” "Bounce Me, B. ther, With a Solid Four" and a particularly bright tune. “Boogie Woogle Bugle Boy.” The awkward squad provides endless fun. An interesting Marcli of Time deals with “Crisis in the Atlantic," and the latest air mail news by Clipper includes the Siege of Tobruk, Prime Minister in Egypt, etc-
