Singleton. R.N.Z.A.F.. Nelson, to Miss Kathleen Pink, of Napier. Misses Merle and Mavis Singleton and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Singletoil have also left for Napier for the wedding.

Wellington: Dr. Simmons and Miss Simmons, and Mr. and Mrs. I. Honcvfield, Palea. » * • * Wanganui friends of Mrs. Merle Gamble, of Wellington, (formerly Miss Spurdie) will be interested Io know that she is to take 'lhe principal part in the forthcoming production of “Rose Marie,” to be given in the capital city. She sang some of th'' songs from the operetta at a Travel Club reception on Tuesday given for two notable visitors, Dr. S. Lowy, of Palestine, and Dr. R. M. Stevenson, of South America. Included in the official party wore Mrs. Webb Jones anc Miss Joan Cook, of Wanganui. Cabled advice has been received in Auckland of the accidental death of Mrs. Florence Lucy Corrigan in Kenva Colony, Africa. Mrs. Corrigan was the mother of Mr. L. P. Leary, of Auckland, and Hie widow of Mr. Richard Leary, of Palmerston North (founder of Leary’s Pharmacies) where she lived for many years. She had a family of four sons, only one of whom is living. One of them Mi. Ernest Richard Leary, was killed on the Somme in 1916. After her marriage to- Mr. D. H. L. Corrigan. Mrs. Corrigan lived for many years in Auckland and later at Tauranga. Her death occurred while she was visiting Mrs. Lascelles Leary Verbi, her daughter by the second marriage. She is survived by her husband, one son, and one daughter.
