TAIHAPE. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Reeves, Wainui, Taihape, have received a cable from the Middle East advising that their son, Gunner J. S. (Jim) Reeves, is reported seriously ill. He left with the Fourth Reinforcements. PATEA Mr. J. Ekdahi, who has been an inmate of the Patea Hospital, has returned home. Mr. and Mrs. G. Hoskin, Okoke, are the guests of Mrs. J. Huston. MARTON The friends of Mrs. H. H. Richardson, of Marton, will regret to learn that she is seriously ill at her home in Bond Street. WAITOTARA. Mrs. A. Verry recently returned from Wellington, where she attended the annual conference of the W.D.F.U. Mrs. F. Langdon is spending a holiday in Stratford. Miss Strauch, Marton, has been the guest of Mrs. W. Dobie. Mrs. C. Wood recently spent a few days with friends in Eltham. Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Hurley left Waitotara during the week for Wanganui, where they will reside.
