MARTON MAGISTRATE’S COURT
MISCELLANEOUS CASES Mr. R. M. Watson, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, at Marton, yesterday. D. A. Bartlett was charged with failing to give way to traffic approaching on the right, and with having no driver’s licence. On the first charge he was fined 30s and 10s costs, and on the second 20s and costs 10s. L. E. B. Klitscher, for having no warrant of fitness, was lined 25s and costs 10s. For having no warrant of fitness, Herbert D. Hawkins was fined 20s and costs 12s. Leslie H. Pettit was fined 20s, and costs 10s, for not having a driver’s licence. The inspector of the Rangitikei County Council (Mr. A. W. Trotter) proceeded against A. Glasgow for allowing stock to wander. Defendant was fined 15s and costs 12s. For allowing a bull to wander. H. Delahy was fined 25s and costs 12s. Judgment for plaintiff was given in the following undefended cases: Ward motors. Ltd., v. J. H. Timmins, claim £3 9s, costs 27 s 6d; M. P. Watson v. A. Foster, claim £8 5s lOd, costs 30s 6d.
