HANGAEHU CLUB To-morrow the first matches for the Holmes Cup will be played by the ladies’ section of the Wangaehu Golf Club. In conjunction there will be a bogey round. The draw is: First Round.—Mrs. Morgan v. Miss M. O’Leary, Mrs. Holmes v. Mrs. Cracroft, Mrs. Blyth v. Mrs. Strachan. Miss O. Couper v. Mrs. Hawken, Miss B. Scott v. Miss Whillans, Mrs. Lowgood v. Miss A. Castles, Mrs. O’Learj v. Mrs. Wilson, Miss L. Glasgow v. Miss D. Castles, Mrs. C. Baldwin v. Mrs. Connell. Second Round.—Winner of Mrs. C. Baldwin and Mrs. Connell match v. Mrs. Hartley, Mrs. McCalman v. Miss D. Groshinski, Miss Sims v. Miss I. Glasgow, Mrs. Grant v. Mrs. Marumaru.
The best three cards in the men's section May medal match were: J. V. Blyth, 84-14-70; B. Pnki, 97-25-72; B.| Holmes, 106-33-73. The flag match played last week was won by B. Holmes who planted the flag on the 21st. fairway after L. A. Wilson had left it in the 18th. hole and M. J. Wilson, playing a brilliant 74 off the stick, had left it in the 19th. hole. Entries for the Ratana Cup will close at 10.30 a.m., Sunday, and the draw for partners and opponents will be made immediately after. The first of a series of four-ball best-ball bogey matches will be played.
