FIRST SURVIVOR FROM H.M.S. HOOD (Recd. 11.30 p.m.) Stockholm, May 29. The Tidningen’s Berlin correspondent says the Bismarck’s complement was about 2000—U.P.A. (Reed. 11.30 p.m. London, May 29. Six hours after receiving the Admiralty’s telegram announcing that her 20-year-old son, AbieSeaman Robert Tilburn, of Leeds, had been lost in the Hood, his mother received her son’s telegram from Reyjavik: “I am safe. Writing.’’ This is the first news of any Hood survivor.—U.P.A.
