DAILY INTERCESSION
I exhort therefore that first of all supplications, prayers, intercessions. and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and for all in authority, that we maylead a quiet and peaceable life in ml goodness and honesty (1 Tim. li, j_'. O God, Who art the Father of Thy people, we thank Thee for i.iose to whom Thou hast given the responsibility of leadership over us. We pray for our King and Queen that they may have grace and strength'as they shall need. We pray for the British Prime Minister, that, sustained by Thy wisdom and might he may not bend or break under the heavy burdens cast upon him. And may a resolute spirit inspire all those associated with the Government of our Empire, which by Thy blessing may bring to a speedy end the bitter trials we endure and ensure a just and lasting peAce for al! mankind, through Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Amen.
