Joan Bennett plays the wife of Francis Lederer, while Lloyd Nolan is an American correspondent. Anna Sten has a ■ highly dramatic role worthy of her talent. Others prominently featured in the strong cast are Otto Kruger, Maria Ouspenskaya, Ludwig Stossel,! and Johnny Russell. It was directed! by Irving Pichel and produced by I Darryl F. Zanuck. The screen play! by Oliver H. P. Garrett was based on the "Liberty Magazine” story by! Oscar Schisgall.
