LABOUR M.P. FOR THE MASTERTON SEAT MASTERTON, Feb. 25. Mr. J. Rooertson, M.P., has been nominated as the Labour Party's candidate for the Masterton seat at the general election. The nomination was unanimous by Labour Party branches and their affiliations throughout the Masterton electorate. Mr. Robertson has held the seat for six years, voting figures being 1935: J. Robertson 3532, G. R. Sykes (Nat.) 3207, T. C. A. Hislop (Democrat.) 2688; majority for Robertson, 325. 1933: J. Robertson 5385, J. H. Irving (Nat.) 5195; majority for Robertson, 190.
