CLEARING SALE AT KARIOI
DALGETY’S REPORT Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wanganui, report having held a most successful clearing sale on account of Mr. W. J. Stephens, Karioi. There was a large attendance of buyers from the Waikato, Main Trunk and Wanganui districts. The following are the prices realised:— Four-tooth ewes, 31s 2d; 6-tooth ewes, 29s 8d; 4-year ewes, 25s Id; 5year ewes, 20s 7d; ewe lambs, from 23s 7d to 14s; wether lambs, 15s to 7s: forward 2-tooth wethers, 235; aged rams, 225. Fifteen-month P.A. steers in fair condition, £5 2s; 3-year P.A. steers, £8 2s 6d; fat and forward cows and heifers, £5 17s 6d; 15-month P.A. heifers. £4; 2-year P.A. heifers, £4 16s; cows with calves at foot, £5 6s; dairy cows. £lO to lOgns. Horses.—Aged geldings, £l7 to £26: aged mares, £ll to £l6; mares in foal, from £25 to £36. Engine and shearing plant, £120; roller, £24 10s; discs, £l4; tyne harrows, £9; hay mower, £lB 10s; hay rake, £lO 10s; manure distributor. £2l; drill, £3l.
