WAVERLEY NOTES
CARD EVENING A very successful flag "500” evening was held in the Kohi Hall on Friday by the Women’s Institute to raise funds for the Air Force Relations’ Committee, Wanganui. The winners of the cards were: Ladies, Misses Vivienne Hammond and Betty Hopkinson; men, Messrs. D. Morrison and W. Simson. After supper had been served a dance was held to music supplied by Mrs. C. H. Harden and Mr. W. Simson. Among those present were: Mrs. P. Lennox, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Harden, Mrs. R. Hunt, Mr. and Mrs. J. Campion, Mrs. B. Lambie, Mr. and Mrs. Fraser, Mrs. Jefferies, Mr. and Mrs. W. Morrison, Miss Betty Hopkinson, Mrs. Gulliver, Mr. and Mrs. Milne, Miss Adeline Powell. Mr. and Mrs. JBourke, Miss Myra Morrison, Mr. and Mrs. C. Oliver, Miss Vivienne Hammond, Mrs. E. Oliver, Miss Valerie Gulliver, Misses Estelle Hammond, Eileen Oliver Dianah Hughes, Voila Morrison; Messrs. H. Littlew6od, T. Simson, H. Powell, C. Oliver, M. Hammond, D. Morrison, W.
