Conditions were ideal for galloping at Flemington on the inside grass. Telergy was impressive over twelve furlongs in 2.43. Reading, looking improved as a result of Saturday's race, covered six furlongs in 1.16-1. Damocles and Lord Walla, together, ran six furlongs in 1-17. Nightbeam went five in 1,4 and moved well. Dashing Cavalier did an easy mile in 1.57. At Caulfield, on the course proper, ■ the flags were 30ft. out and the track I was dead. ■ Mildura covered seven furlongs in 1.291, the first four in 49sec, and moved well.
