NAVAL RATING INJURED ACCIDENT NEAR TAIHAPE (Own Correspondent.) . TAIHAPE. Feb. 24. When a light car driven by Mr. John Marriner, Rangataua, skidded and overturned on the main road, north of Taihape, on Saturday night, a naval rating, Mr. Arthur Phear, received injuries which necessitated his left arm being amputated in the Taihape Public Hospital. The accident occurred near the Taihape motor camp. Mr. Phear. the only passenger, was sitting with Mr. Marriner in the front seat.
