WANGANUI EDUCATION BOARD CERTIFICATES SATISFACTION EXPRESSED “It is very gratifying to see so many country schools represented,” said Mr. I. W. Mudford (Foxton) at the Wanganui Education Board meeting yesterday, when a list of environment certificates was tabled. The recommendations from the senior inspector, Mr. B. N. T. Blake, were:— Alton, Aramoho, Ashhurst, Awahou North, Beaconsfield, Bell’s Junction, Bulls, Bunnythorpe, Castlecliff, Cheltenham, Central. College Street, Dunoily, Durie Hill, Fitzherbert East, Glen Oroua, Gonville, Hihitahi, Hokowhitu, Hunterville, Intermediate (Wanganui), Kairanga, Kakaramea, Kakariki, Keith Street, Kirikau, Kiwitea, Kohi, Kopane, Linton, Longburn, Lytton Street, Makakahi Road, Manchester Street, Mangaweka, Mangawhio, Manunui, Manutahi, Marton District High, Marton Junction, Milson, Mosston, Ngamatea, Ngaturi, Ngutuwera, Ohakea, Ohingaiti, Okoia, Orangimea, Orangipongo, Orautoha, Oroua Downs, Owhakura, Owhango, Pakihikura, Parewanui, Patea, Pbhangina, Raetihi, Rangiwahia, Rata-iti, Raumai, Rewa, Rongotea, Ruahine, Russell Street, Sanson, St. John’s Hill, Taihape District High, Taikorea, Taonui, Turangaarere, Tawhero, Terrace End, Tokorangi, Tunanui Road, Umutoi, Utiku, Utuwai, Waimarino, Waitohi. Waituna West, Wangaehu, Wanganui East, West End, Western Rangitikei, Westmere, Whenuakura. New certificates are to be issued to the following schools:—Kakahi, Omatane, Queen's Park, Waitotara and Rongoiti. Letters of commendation are to be forwarded to the following schools:— Bluff Road, Deniair, Fordell, Kai Iwi, Kaitoke, Mangamahu, Okirae, Ruanui, Taumatatahi. 1 Letters of commendation are to be forwarded to teachers and committees on the splendid progress made in the development of school grounds at Hauwai, Mangatepopo, Pukawa and Ruamata.
