PROGRAMME CHARGES REORGANISATION OF TIMES From to-morrow, starting with th, Pacific transmission, which begins a' 6.10 p.m. New Zealand Summer Time, a reorganisation of the 8.8. C. Empn programme will come into force. Tne main change in the Pacific traismission will be that the Headline news at present given at 8.30 p.m. British Time will ue transmitted at 8 p.m. , This will be followed by a special news commentary for tne Pacific area, given live days in the week by Mr. Cyril Lakin, and the other two days by Mr. P. E. G. Bayley, formerly of tne Australian Associated Press siatf in London. Another alteration is that the topical talks tftinsmitted daily except Sundays at 9 p.m. New Zealand Tim.', will be given at 8.45 p.m. For tne present the time of the Pacific transmission, 6.10-10 p.m., remains unchanged. Th«» National Broadcasting Service has arranged an additional rebroadcast of news from London at 12.15 p.m. The transmission o' this from Daventry is at noon, and tlje rebroadcast has been fixed for a quarter of an hour later to permit listeners leaving work for lunch at noon to hear the news. The re-broadcast at 1.15 p.m. will be continued as hitherto, the records made at noon being played.
