DUCHESS THEATRE
“Society Lawyer,” screening tonight at the Duchess Theatre, gives the thrilling and exciting inside story to a front page murder mystery. Walter Pidgeon plays the role of Christopher Durant, who tires of civil practice, and who becomes one of the greatest criminal lawyers of New York. Leo Carrillo once more supplies the laughs in one of the greatest roles of his career, as the staunch friend of Pidgeon. Lovely Virginia Bruce plays the role of a night club entertainer who falls in love with the young lawyer. Others in the cast include Frances Mercer, Lee Bowman, Ann Morriss and Herbert Mundin.
