ALABAMA KID
HIS LICENCE SUSPENDED MANAWATU BOXING ASSOCIATION CALLED TO ORDER. [ Per Prebs Association. J WELLINGTON, Feb. 8. At a meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Council last night it was decided to suspend the licence of the Alabama Kid for a fortnight, in which he will be given an opportunity to state his case regarding an alleged breach of contract to the Manawatu Association over the contest with Maurice Strickland on Boxing Day night. Manawatu is also to be allowed a fortnight to show cause why it should not be penalised for a breach of the rules in respect of contracts entered into with Strickland and the Alabama Kid.
