TAIHAPE. "he engagement is announced of Miss Jacqueline Bell, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Bell, of Palm Spraigs, California, to Mr. J. Graham, of Los Angeles. Miss Bell is a niece of Mrs. F. H. Barton, of Taihape. At the monthly meeting of the Taihape R.S.A. on Friday it was decided to write to Mr. H. J. Murrell expressing sympathy with him in his present illness and hope for his speedy recovery. Mr. J. Webb, of Taihape, jud£*.l the fat cattle at the Feilding Show last week. -MARTON. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Gorrie and Mrs. A. A. Williams left Marton on Saturday to join Mr. A. A. Williams at their fishing lodge at Taupo.
