The contents of each parcel are to be as follows:—Two handkerchiefs, one packet safety razor blades, one tin milk, or coffee and milk, or honey; one tin sweets, one tin foot powder, one boracic powder, one cake of soap, in tin; one writing pad and envelopes, one cake, or small cakes, in tin. The cakes are being arranged for by the Ladies' Committee, and contributions are earnestly solicited. In order to obtain uniformity, the other items will be purchased in bulk at an estimated cost of £l2O.

OTIFICATION is hereby given that the decision of the Council in terms of a Resolution in that behalf, respecting the restriction in the use of the City water supply for the watering of gardens, etc., to a period of one half-hour daily, has not been relaxed, and the said restrictions, as specified by Public Notice given last month, will continue until further notice. The hosing times are re-stated as follows: In that portion of the City situated on the south-western side of the Great North Road, Victoria Avenue and Portal Street (including Gonville, Castlecliff and Durie Hill), between 6.30 and 7 p.m.’ In that portion of the City situated on the north-eastern side of the Great North Road, Victoria Avenue and Portal Street (including Aramoho, Wanganui East and Durie Vale), between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. C.
