Possession of a Radio Operator’s Certificate (Ist. or 2nd. class), a- Technical Certificate in Broadcasting, or a Broadcast Operator’s or Amateur’s Certificate will be regarded as an additional but not an essential qualification. Skilled radio mechanics qualified for direct entry into overseas service will be enlisted as Leading Aircraftmen, Group I. Applications are also invited from semi-skilled radio mechanics. In this case the commencing rates of pay will be on a lower scale.
