PEOPLE'S MOVEMENT
DELEGATES ADDRESSED POLICY OUTLINED Received Jan. 13. 7.5 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 12. Addressing 2000 delegates from all over the country at the People’s Convention. Mr. D. N. Pritt, K.C., said the greatest single point of the programme was the achievement of peace. “Our policy is to offer to the enemy peoples a peace of no annexations and no reparations, with liberty for all peoples to determine own destiny.” Mr. Pritt, replying to critics who accuse the People’s Movement of proHitlerism, declared: “We have been enemies of Hitler and his system for years while our critics were licking his boots, endorsing his submarines, financing him, and building his strength.” The convention passed a resolut• .»n demanding a higher standard of living, adequate bombproof shelters, the restoration of all trade union rights, civil liberties, emergency powers to take over the banks, land, transport, and large Industries, national independence for India, friendship with Soviet Russia, a people’s Government, and a people’s peace.
