MR. F. B. DWYER APPOINTED 1 Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Jan. 11. Tlie Minister of Defence, Hon. F. Jones, has announced that the vacancy created by the retirement on superannuation of Mr. H. Turner from the position of Army Secretary, has been filled by the appointment of Mr. F. B. Dwyer. Mr. Dwyer has been in the Interna! Affairs Department since 1914. In 1938 he was selected for a course of study in the Imperial Defence College, London. He returned to New Zealand after the outbreak of war, when the course was interrupted, and became Assistant Army Secretary.
