ACTION OVER BREST
ATTACKED BY R.A.F. Received Jan. 12, 11.30 p.m LONDON, Jan. 11. An Air Ministry communique states that in bright moonlight last night the R.A.F. attacked dockyards in Brest. Two direct hits were made on the bows of a large vessel, and widespread fires resulted in the dock area. Shipping in the harbour at Le Havre was also attacked. No British aircraft are missing.
EFFECTIVE R.A.F. RAID BOMBS DROPPED ON DOCKS. [ British Official Wireless. ] RUGBY, Jan. 11 The Air Ministry news service, describing last night’s raid on Brest, says that when aircraft of tho Bomber Command attacked they found light and heavy anti-aircraft shells bursting in a continuous ring round the docks, but the R.A.F. penejtrated this barrage and, though some 1 remained a long time over the objective, not one was hit.
