GOOD TRY BY TINDILL
WIN FOR N.Z. ARMY ALDERSHOT COMMAND BEATEN Received Dec. 15, 9.30 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 15. The New Zealand Army team beat Aldershot command by 8 to 0. The Sunday Times says the New Zealanders had much the worse of the first half and then an all-round improvement brought, victory. The All Blacks were clearly outplayed behind the scrum in the first half and only the fearless tackling of the backs prevented Aidershot scoring. Bonner got over wide out for the New Zealanders just before the interval for a try which was quite against the run of play. The New Zealanders then showed real form, putting Aidershot on the defensive for long periods. E. Tindili, the scrum half, scored a magnificent try, darting from the scrum, running hard and straight after selling the “dummy.” A clever hand-off carried him over when he was tackled a yard from the line. Peterson made no mistake with the kick.
