TANKER OLE JACOB
REPORTED CAPTURE BY GERMAN RAIDER TOKIO, Dec. 12. I A correspondent states that a Ger- ’ man raider is reported to have caplured the Norwegian tanker Ole Jacob 'in the Indian Ocean. It was brought Ito Kobe by a prize crew and later I sailed for an unknown destination. ! The whereabouts of the Norwegian I crew is unknown. ' It was added that the raider was flying the Union Jack and halted the Ole Jacob, ostensibly for inspection, before I disclosing its identity. ! | Earlier this year the tanker Ole | Jacob was holed in a collision with ! the Armadale at the Wellington heads. Both ships were blacked out ; and the collision damaged both i severely. The Ole Jacob was on her i first voyage off the slip after repairs when captured.
